Men’s Solar Hat – Straw Hat Men’s Thurman with Band – Sun Hat with Fan

The fan actually blows pretty well when pointed directly at the sun. During sunset, the hat will obviously still spin, just not as fast. Although there’s no battery to power it in the shade, I prefer it that way – keeping the hat lightweight as well as fewer things to go wrong. The packaging was fairly large, the hat was not folded in any way when I got it. This contrasts with other products in this category. Many reviews complain about those products coming folded and being unable to undo the crease. There’s only two changes I’d like to see. First, have a thin layer of something inside the top of the hat to hide the currently-exposed wiring connecting the solar panel to the fan. It’s not a big deal, but it does look like the idea was tacked on in the end. Second, I’d like some tiny holes/grooves on the interior of the hat (not the brim) to let the air stream down towards the face a bit. Currently, with my big head, the air cools the top of my dome and not much else.
