mens Gentlemen’s “Brown” Solar Straw Hat W. Thin Band

This is a fantastic idea for a hat. There are other solar hats out there, but they all seem to have the fans on the brim so they don’t cool your head, which is what you need when you have to wear a hat on a hot day. This one has the fan in the crown, and a handy exit air hole on the other side to allow the air to escape after it does its job. Great stuff!First thing you’ll notice is that the fan starts up immediately when you step into the sun, giving you the feeling that there’s a nice cool breeze blowing over your head. Unfortunately the second thing you’ll notice is that the fan stops as soon as you walk into the shade. That’s the downside. There needs to be a second generation that has a small battery to even out the fan speed.Nonetheless, I wouldn’t trade this hat in for anything. My bald head has been taking a beating from the sun for years, as I always wound up taking off my hat to stay cool. Not necessary now with this hat. My dermatologist is delighted.
